Dear Luis,
Due to a possible contamination, a voluntary recall has been announced
by Kelloggs® for select packages of Frosted Mini-Wheats Bite Size
Original and Mini-Wheats Unfrosted Bite Size cereal produced in one
facility.
The products may contain fragments of flexible metal mesh from a faulty
manufacturing part.
The FreshDirect team has confirmed that the recalled products that were
recently in our selection include:
• Frosted Mini-Wheats Bite Size Original Cereal in 18.0oz box with UPC
code 03800031828 with the letters KB, AP or FK before or after the Best
If Used Before date. Dates between APR 01 2013 KB - SEP 21 2013.
The affected products were purchased on or after May 24, 2012.
Those in possession of affected products should follow general FDA and
CDC recommendations for consumers:
• Do not eat products that have been recalled and throw them away in a
manner that prevents others from eating them.
• Persons who think they or their family members may have become ill
from a recalled item are advised to consult their health care providers.
