Other Manhattan closures are: South Street between Dover Street and the Whitehall Ferry Terminal; the bike path north of the Brooklyn Bridge to Rutgers Street; and Water Street between Moore Street and Fulton Street. There is no pedestrian viewing from the Queensboro, Brooklyn, Williamsburg and Manhattan Bridges. Inbound traffic coming off the Queensboro Bridge should proceed north on 1st Avenue and southbound on 2nd Avenue. There will be no traffic restrictions on the Brooklyn, Williamsburg and Manhattan Bridges. The FDR Drive will remain open northbound from the Brooklyn Bridge exit to Houston Street to alleviate traffic from the bridge. The Brooklyn Queens Expressway will remain open to traffic. Pedestrian-only access to the FDR Drive (no motor vehicle entry) will be at the following locations: - Old Slip and Water Street - Pearl Street and Frankfort Street - Houston Street - 6th Street and 10th Street including overpasses to East River Park - 14th Street - 20th Street - 23rd Street - 25th Street - 34th Street - 38th Street - 41st Street - 42nd Street - 48th Street - 49th Street - 53rd Street Brooklyn street closings 8:00 pm until 10:30 pm: - Montague Street between Court Street and the entrance to the Promenade. - Hicks Street between Atlantic Avenue and Old Fulton Street. - Furman Street between Old Fulton Street and Atlantic Avenue. - Old Fulton between Prospect Street and Furman Street. - Columbia Heights between Montague Street and Old Fulton Street. Other Street Closings: - Mulberry Street between Canal Street and Broome Street in Manhattan will be closed 11:00 am to 6:00 pm through September 7 for the Mulberry Street Pedestrian Mall. - Pleasant Avenue between East 114th Street and East 116th Street, and East 114th Street and East 117th Street between Pleasant and First Avenues in Manhattan will be closed Friday through Sunday 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Feast. - East 109th Street between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue in Manhattan will be closed Friday through Sunday 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the Peloteros Unidos SBL. The following streets will be closed on Friday: - Water Street between Broad and Fulton Streets in Manhattan will be closed 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the Pearl Street Park Association Festival. - St. Nicholas Avenue between 116th and 117th Streets in Manhattan will be closed 9:00 am to 8:00 pm for a block party. - 114th Street between Frederick Douglass Boulevard and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard Streets in Manhattan will be closed 9:00 am to 9:00 pm for a Family Day Block Party. - Sanford Avenue between Union and Main Streets in Queens will be closed 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the Flushing Development Center Festival. - Victory Boulevard to Glen Street, Glen Street to Cannon Avenue, Cannon Avenue to Victory Boulevard, and Victory Boulevard to 141 East Service Road on Staten Island will be closed 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm for the Travis 4th of July Parade. The following streets will be closed on Saturday: - 6th Avenue between 14th and 23rd Streets in Manhattan will be closed 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the McBurney YMCA Festival, and between 23rd and 33rd Streets for the Church of St. John the Baptist Festival. - 106th Street between 5th and Madison Avenues in Manhattan will be closed 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for a stickball game. - Woodside Avenue between Roosevelt Avenue and 65th Place in Queens will be closed 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the Woodside on the Move Festival. The following streets will be closed on Sunday: - Lexington Avenue between 34th and 42nd Streets in Manhattan will be closed 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the Meretz/Israeli Civil Rights Education Fund. - Avenue of the Americas (6th Avenue) between 42nd and 56th Streets in Manhattan will be closed 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the USO street fair. - Flatbush Avenue between Parkside Avenue and Cortelyou Road in Brooklyn will be closed 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the Flatbush Avenue BID Festival. - Montague Street from Clinton Street to Montague Terrace in Brooklyn will be closed all 4 Sundays in July 9:00 am - 6:00 pm for a pedestrian piazza. Cross Streets (Clinton, Henry, Hicks, Pierrepont Place/Montague Terrace) will remain open. Access to Pierrepont Place, Montague Terrace and Remsen Street from the Promenade to Hicks Street will be impacted. To accommodate local circulation, Pierrepont Place will be temporarily reversed Sundays. Use detour: Clark Street to Willow Street to Pierrepont Street to Pierrepont Place to Montague Terrace to Remsen Street. Permits for parades, block parties, major street fairs and other public street events are issued either by NYPD or the Mayor's Community Affairs Unit (CAU).
