I recommend Audacious. I have been using it for the past couple of
months and it is awesome. I was using banshee and rhythmbox earlier
and they were too bloated for my tastes. I tried Amarok for the
briefest time and left it.

Hi Lugies,
I tried Winamp download but ironically it is not available for linux
platform.
Why such a most popular software is not available for equivalently most
popular linux platform ?.
Basically, is Winamp an Open-source project or closed-source ?
If it is open-source possibly we can try to atleast port it to linux.
If anyone have come across on this pls give me directions.
Why ironically? It's called Winamp. Hazard a guess as to which platform
it runs on. As for whether it's open-source, Wikipedia is your friend.
If you want to use a similar application use Audacious, Beep Media
Player, or xmms.
