Well, if he's attempting humor, then a smiley would help. It's not the
first time we've read such one-line answers.
I was not joking - the moment one creates a plone instance, it gives a
full-fledged CMS without any need for further customisation - the two minutes
I mentioned was the time taken for the site to load. For non-programmers who
want out-of-the-box functionality and who want to sleep at nights, plone is
the ideal solution. I moved away from plone for two reasons
1. in those days plone hosting was expensive
2. I was doing highly customised sites and plone was too difficult for me to
customise - specifically integration with an external database.
That said, I hear now that zope3 has excellent integration with SQLalchemy -
so this problem does not exist.
I did not reply to your original post because I do not think this list is a
place for preaching and lecturing people on how and what to post. Talking
about breach of rules is one thing, this kind of sermonising is another.
btw, there *is* a world beyond php ...
