Hai,
I used to send mail from command line using 'mail'
command.I am running a smtp server for this.It works
fine.
Now I need to stop my sendmail and want to use one
common smtp server. How to specify smtp server in the
mail command? ( I couldn't get from any source)
Is there any other way to send mail from the command
line using other smtp server?
You can setup sendmail to act as a 'smarthost', which means,
for all mails it receives with a non-local To address, it will send it
to the smtp server you specify.
Google for sendmail and smarthost, although, I should say that messing
around with sendmail's config is not for everyone. Try your luck.
