[Ilugc] question regarding custom CMS design

I have a requirement to create a custom Content Management Systems (CMS)
for my client and I have question regarding how the images, audio and other
media files are stored in CMS systems. I have referred some open CMS db
designs and they looks like stored in db.
Storing media files in Db is not preferred.
Hash the name of the files and store in a folder where cms has access.
In the Db, store the path, original name and hash.
