[Ilugc] plz clarify my doubt

dear reader ,


                 i have boot hardisk sda and i want to mount second hard
disk sdb ..
  plz tell the command to mount ..

i have try follow

 mount /dev/sdb1
mount: can't find /dev/sdb1 in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab

 plz reply me ...........
