I am getting the following messages on the console continusouly...
kernel: eth1: Too much work in interrupt, status e401.
We are experiencing packet loss that are going through this system.
Google'ing indicates that this is one of the rarest problems and
doesn't seem to address the exact error. One indicated to increase
/proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_conntrack_max value... changed it from 32760
(defalut) to 65520 (doubled it as it was not accepting any other
values). Still no help.
There is a file /proc/net/ip_conntrack, the file size is 0 bytes but
when I cat that file shows about 15000 entries like
tcp 6 19 SYN_SENT src=192.168.1.66 dst=9.121.32.211 sport=2382
dport=445 [UNREPLIED] src=9.121.32.211 dst=220.227.67.130 sport=445
dport=2382 use=1
Looks like iptables cache... I suspect clearing this would help..
but I dont' how to.
Hardware: duel PIV, 512MB, RAID5
Services: iptables firewall, postfix
Network configuration: two NICs - eth0:public ip provided by ISP,
eth1: LAN IP.
