I am carefully drafting this letter, so that eventually i am making
sure that i am not raising an attack or defame to any individual or an
organization. In any part of this mail, i wish not to hurt some one or
a particular organization.
Why this cry is for?
This email is been written, in order to bring support to the free and
open source software from the Government side and explore the
possibility of having a through review about the functionalities of
its bodies in ascertaining are they(government bodies) diligently
carrying out their duties. I raise myself to question the
functionalities of a organization NRCFOSS,which claims its activities
are in and for the free and open source software domain.
Who am i to question an organiasation - NRCFOSS?
I am an ordinary honest poor taxing paying citizen of this great
nation. My bread comes by giving service on floss based technologies.
I think i do have the rights and responsibilities to question in bring
the facts to the table.
Why this question all of a sudden?
This question is being raised , because the organiasation in question
"NRCFOSS" tenure is about to finish and there is a talk about
extending the tenure of the organiasation. It is the high time to
question about the review by the floss communities how the hard earned
sweated tax money which has been spent in the name of FLOSS.
What are the questions??
1)I would request NRCFOSS to clarify the list about the
functionalites of their organiasation.
2)I heard that NRCFOSS has been granted five croces of rupees in the
name of promoting FLOSS. How this money has been spent over in the
last 3 years.
3)If FLOSS propoganda campaign like LDD/workshop are the lone
activities of NRCFOSS? how many such activities are been carried out?
and kindly give the LDD/WORKSHOP name , place and dates, Money spent
for the campaign.
Is this is the place of questioning??
I know, this is not the right place to get the answers, I know the way
and path in approaching the RTI officer in soughting this
information.I would like to explore the similar minds of this list who
are in the process of knowing/want to retrieve the organization in
effectively serving the community.I know few developers who expressed
their disgustion regarding with the support from NRCFOSS and there are
instance where the organiaser is led down by the *TIMELY* money
support from the NRCFOSS. Further to it, the vast tune of money of
croces of rupees needs to be examined, how it is spent.
I personally have experience with FOSSE'06, MUKT.in'07 and MUKT.in
'08 and would like to know how much has been spent on these
events.People who are interested in this campaign please sent you mail
either to this list or sent me mail in offline.
