Just try the command 'lspci' at the root shell prompt and check if it
works.
If you are on debian, lspci should be found within /usr/sbin/ directory,
thus the complete path to the command would '/usr/sbin/lspci'.
In any case, typing just 'lspci' as root should ideally work on your
machine.
