Hi,
I recently downloaded a recent version of smartmontools for my
Redhat 9(Shrike). The name of the rpm is
smartmontools-5.32-1.i386.rpm. I installed the package using rpm
-Uvh <package>. I read the man pages of smartctl & tried smartctl
-[options]. But none of them worked, the shell prompt returned with
saying "bash: smartctl: command not found". I tried running the
commmand from /usr/sbin, also as superuser, but not helped. Any
suggestions.
