[Ilugc] intel 82567LM gigabit card driver issue - no ethX in ubuntu 12.10

The driver seems very recent because their update date is 03/11/2013.
I think, the driver is conflicting with ethernet controller..
I have some questions.
Is the ethernet not working from the first boot itself (mean after
installing ubuntu 12.10) or after you made any changes for wireless drives
or something ?
Is the ethernet worked in previous versions of ubunu / fedora / redhat or
any linux distros ?
If it is worked , what is the distro, kernel version and driver?
I think the new intel driver are doesn't have backward compatibility with
your ethernet controller (not sure).
OK. First of all, Go to the directory where you installed e1000e / e1000,
remove the modules by,
make uninstall
And check with kernel driver e1000e itself (Don't use the external driver
downloaded from intel).
If it is not working again, we have to do some kernel patches to make it
work.
