hi,
i am using rhel4.
it had openoffice-1.1
i downloaded openoffice.org-2.2 and tried to update my openoffice as
# rpm -Uvh openoffice.org-*
in the directory where i had openoffice.org-2.2 RPMS.
but i could use only ooffice1.1
then i removed ooffice as,
#rpm -e openoffice.org
now when am trying to install ooffice2.2 i am unable to install it as it says
that the packages have been installed already.
i cant find the binary ooffice too in my system. How to make my ooffice2.2 to
work??
You can find your openoffice installation on
/opt/openoffice.org2.2/
directory.
configure gnome or kde to use openoffice to open the files with
appropriate extension.
for eg.
use scalc program in /opt/openoffice.org2.2/program/ directory to open
files with .xls extension
Thanks & Regards,

The world is moving so fast that the man who says it can't be done is generally
interrupted by someone doing it>>
