Hi,
You need to start beryl at the start of your desktop session.
The method to do this varies as per your Desktop Environment.
I have taken the following from Ubuntu's section but should work
for Debian too
GNOME
Go to System > Preferences > Sessions
Go to the Startup Programs tab
Click the Add button and type in beryl-manager
Repeat the previous step, adding beryl
Exit
KDE
Simpler - but less graphical. In a terminal:
ln -s /usr/bin/beryl-manager ~/.kde/Autostart/beryl-manager
But, for the first time, I'd recommend you to open the terminal
and type 'beryl' in it and see if it works fine or not. If not, the
errors thrown will help you sort out the problem.
