Sir/Madam,
I am currently doing a simulator project on linux platform. I have planned to
use QT latest version(3.3.1), free edition on Embedded Platform for GUI
capabilities.
Initially I was able to install QT on Mandrake Linux and able to run my
applications. After that I switched over to RedHat Linux. I am currently facing
problems installing QT on RedHat.
I have a problem in enabling frame buffer support.Initially when i installed QT
on Mandrake , i did not have this problem. Then I installed QT for X11 free
edition. Installation was complete, but still I am not able to compile my
application.

Aren't they violating the GPL by doing this? Modifying author names?
Claiming copyright PCQuest??

unintentionally at least
they are trying to comply with the redhat license that specifies how to
repackage it (remove all public mentions of redhat etc)

This HOWTO helped me configure the extra buttons like mute, sleep,
power and such.
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Keyboard-and-Console-HOWTO.html
There is a utility named 'hotkeys' (debian package available) that
lets you configure the extra keys on your multimedia keyboard.
Some more things to do with other inputs in your computer: :)
1. Hack up a simple script to use ACPI to send your PC shutting down
when the power button on your cabinet is pressed. You could use it
to do even more cooler things like kill the X-server when the
console locks up or launch XMMS without having to turn on your
monitor :)
http://www.cpqlinux.com/acpi-howto.html
2.
http://lcdproc.org/ ;<- do more nice things without turning on your
monitor
3.
http://lirc.org/ ;<- dont go near your keyboard. When I gave it an
attempt, ritchie st did not have all the mentioned ICs and being
the not-so-good at electronics guy, I did not know the alternative
ICs and the like. If anyone managed to build a working IR device, I
would be glad to hear your story (and of course, what alternative
components you used and such)
cheers
