Yeah right, pakistan ans open source, the only stuff Pakis good at areOne cannot write off a whole nation and its people like that.
International Terrorism(IT).
ISLAMABAD, April 23: The information technology ministry has launched aopen
pilot project worth Rs37 million to train 4,000 government servants in
source software. At least, their govt has taken a quick decision on that,
unlike our politicians who have kept circumventing such
issues for quite some time now. Our President stresses on
OSS and Free Software but our politicians are behind
Bill Gate$. Its high time we take some such decision soon,
like China and Pak have done.
Regards,
Ram

hi,
today read this article in The Hindu, about a linux=20
cluster which was deployed at The Institute of=20
Mathematical Science, Chennai. (www.imsc.res.in)
It is running RH8.0 and will be competiting for gaining
a place in the world's top 500 computer list=20
(http://www.top500.org/) this year.
Interestingly, as the report says, the cluster was ready
just two days earlier than the last date for any=20
supercomp to be eligible for this year's top500 chart.
great going!

Hi,
had a couple of friends from Pakistan, during my. M.S from U.S. They
hindi movies and wanted the conflict to end and were against terrorism.media
One cannot generalise like that. Most of the nonsense is due to politics
and fundamentalism.
lets leave politics out of this as srs said and just remember that there
are people like us everywhere. It might be just that
their views might not be so visible on the outside and unfortunately the
media pays more attention to the scandalous and spectacular.
In the same way, that the fundamentalist organizations from India got
coverage for the wrong reasons, in International media.Prakasham <ramesh@xxxxxxxxxx>
Every place has different kind of people.
Lets leave it with that, I dont want to start a flame war.
