Ther are a many ways to get GNOME 2.10

1. Compile each and evry package by hand. :O
        This will take you around 6-8 hours
provided you have all dependencies.

2. Get the binaries from yum/apt repositories.
        Ubuntu Hoary has 2.10 , doing a apt-get
upgrade on any Debian based system will get you     
   GNOME 2.10.

Gnome 2.10 will not be put in the yum repos.
apparently FC users will
have to wait until FC4 is released in June to
experience Gnome 2.10 :(



Can you try the FC4 test1 repositories and let us know
if G2.10 is available in them.

AFAIK, FC4 will have G2.10, so I guess the test
release will have the packages.
