support copyright / copyleft?
the conference software is copyrighted by NRC-FOSS. It is free
software released under the BSD license. The source code and license
are available at
https://svn.nrcfosshelpline.in/public/conference. ;
The same are also viewable on the conference trac wiki
http:// ;
registration.fossconf.in/code/. The person who writes the software
gets the copyright and gets to decide what license to use. I wrote/am
writing the software and I have decided to use the BSD license. I
have assigned the license to NRC-FOSS which is releasing it under the
BSD license. As for the contents of the website, I agree that it
should be under some creative commons license - I will modify the
footer to reflect the same. This is a generic footer that we put on
all our sites - thanks for pointing out the difference between the
conference software and the content.
