Right now, I am using a Robotics 56K Voice Faxmodem to dial up and
connect to the internet. Normally, the download rate is around 3.5
KBPS and I have never seen the download rate cross 12KBPS on my system.
A salesman got in Touch telling about their offer for a broadband
internet connection through a 128 KBPS optic fibre line. One claim was
that downloads would be faster than through the dial up connection. Is
this true and will servers give priority and transfer more data quickly
because a 128KBPS line is used?
