Hi,
Towards evolving a good business continuity process, in my office we
want to backup all mails of all users. Like in a typical office we
have a special list (trivia) where a lot of images, flash animations
and such trivial things get exchanged. We want to have a backup policy
that will leave out these things. Instead of backing up individual
users mail boxes (in their desktop mail clients) I'm wondering if the
following would work:
Have all mail clients configured to leave a copy on the server. Then
every night a script would scan all mail accounts on the mail server
and backup everything _except_ those that have 'trivia' as its
receipient. After the backup is done, the mails will be removed from
the server.
Would this work? Any suggestion is welcome.
Thanks,
mano
