Hi,
Which one can we use for setting up a mail server. Either the full
packaged
Zimbra or the core mail server available in Ubuntu?
I was considering Ubuntu server but my friend recommended Zimbra as having
many other advantages, like web based portal providing ajax facilities,
calendar etc.
I have been a long term user of Exim (MTA) + Openwebmail (Web I/f) + Courier
(IMAP/POP with TLS/SASL) + Mailscanner (kaspersky + clamAV + SpamAssassin
based filtering) + Webmin (administration) combination.
When I changed over recently, I was looking at a single solution for all
these along with nice Ajax front ends. I tried Zimbra first and found its
server side admin control to be weak especially in filter definition. Scalix
fared much better on this front and I went for it as Scalix had other
features on par.
