Though not open, Google charts API is free to use.
It is really easy to build the URL with their wizard. Use PHP to replace
content in the URL string (all graph data is transmitted through the URL
itself) to get the graphs made.
One caveat though. I had developed a PHP app for a large corporate in which
reports were generated through the Google charts API. After using it for 2
years, their IT department suddenly realized that `their` data was being
sent to a 3rd party server and pulled the plug.
