Hi,
Sorry for the delay getting back to you on this - was out of action
(unwell) for most of last week.
In terms of the kind of help we may be looking for, basically anything
you could offer in the following areas would be useful; I can provide
more specific details as needed...
1) Help in locating a linux system administrator for the new center
(we may need some advice on 'appropriate' skill levels, salary
expectations etc for that sort of position, also perhaps in
distributing the position description through your networks).
2) Could use some advice on any system administration/training
documentation in Tamil language (if such things exist), and perhaps
some help with system administrator training down the line.
3) Help in locating suitable educational applications for a Linux
platform (possibly with Tamil variations if necessary; I know a
couple of your members expressed interest in helping with this sort
of development).
4) Further down the line, perhaps a bit of a demonstration as had been
suggested for last Sat. I think it may be better if this happence
once the new center opens (hopefully a couple of months from now).
UCH address is as follows:
Uluru Children's Home & Uluru Health Care Centre
No 1, Kamala Avenue, off Alamparai Beach Road, Kadapakkam
Cheyyur Taluk, Kanchipuram District 603 304
Right now there are 32 children, aged from 2-14. This is going to grow
to about 80 by the end of the year, by which stage the new center
should be functional.

Engineers Without Borders also has a "support network" site where a
lot of technical discussion on the project takes place:
