Dear All,
Can anybody elucidate the difference between Transport Layer and Data Link
layer funtionality wise.
As per reference books,
the transport layer
"guarantees that the receiver gets the data exactly as it was sent"
and the Data link layer is mentioned
"The reliable delivery of data across the underlying physical network is
handled by the Data Link Layer"
Any pointers / links / suggestions which would clear this doubt much
appreciated.
