Subject: [Ilugc] Thunderbird 7 - mails lost when cleared the messages in the
server
Dear All,
I am now using Ubuntu 10.04 with thunderbird 7 till 4 days back.
On monday 19th - many mails inbound to my email id got bounced - due
to Inbox-Full in the server - official mail server - webmail (not an
internal mail server).
I opened it directly through browser, and cleared all the mails, both
inbox & sent items, and closed it and went home, happily !!!!.
Next day when I opened the thunderbird 7, i was shocked to find all
the mails - inbox & sent were gone !!!!.
I need ideas - what could have gone wrong, to avoid the same happening
next time. Please guide.

Hello
While configuring either thunder bird or web client, by mistake, you may have
chosen the option which enables user to delete mails stored in the client when
deleting the mails from the server and vice versa. This option is available
with the thunder bird.
