Subject: [Ilugc] How to disable colors
Hi,
In RedHat Linux(9), when I give the ls command,
the different types of files are shown in different colors.
I want all the files to be displayed in single color.
So, I have overriden /etc/DIR_COLORS with my .dir_colors(empty)
put in the home directory(I have created the file with no content).
The colors in the vi, (when I open vi, it shows in different colors.),
and other programs also I want to disable the colors.
How to do that?.(When I googled, it is showing something
related to changes in tty or stty or setterm.)
If persons, who have done that earlier tell me, that would
be easier for me.
Thanks
carti
