C is not Bash. You should try to approach CLI from the productivity
point of view and from a comparative perspective.
GUIs are inherently limited.
Productivity of general users will increase if they have more CLI skills.
Of course it will help in programming specific to their domains later on.
People in FOSS development have all kinds of background and a
reasonable understanding of some of the basics helps.
