Sadly, PCI video cards are outdated.

But you can hunt for NVIDIA Geforce MX 4XX cards which should be able
to do most of the Compiz/Beryl stuff you are looking for but those
cards are not good for today's 3D games (Q4, NWN2 etc).

They are also rare and will generally cost a premium, around 4K+.
