Hi everyone,
Just wondering is it ok to share /home partition between linux and the
bsd family in the same harddisk?..I have shared /home between distros
without any problems...
I guess you may have to compile both kernels with support for each other, i.e,
either ext3 and ufs or whatever. If u r comfy with that, then it can be done.
But normally these days I dont get in a multiboot situation, I find it a PITA.
Actually the kernels mostly support these file systems by default but sometimes
it doesnt work.
It is a good idea however. You can most definitely share swap as well.
But with low disk prices these days I would go in for a file server kind of
thing instead.
Best,
Girish
