There is no best tool. It depends on what you want. For a start, refer:

Dovecot and Postfix are widely used. If you need commercial support,
I'd suggest deepOfix mail server:
Unless, your business will be providing email services (for others), I
would suggest you go with an email service provider.
Most domain registrars / web hosting companies offer basic email
packages included in the cost of the registration cost.
From personal experience (I hosted my own email servers for 2 years
way back in the 2000s) it was not worth it. Although, I learnt
about RBLs and resolving them, anti spam tools, dealing with DDoS
attacks etc.,
