Thanks but really ILUGC is where it is because of many people. I just
happened to be there at the right place at the right time. We should
all remember Arun Krishnaswamy. It was he who first got me to meet
him and thats when it all started. Heartfelt thanks to Prof. Sriram
who provided so much support (and who also got me started with my
first Linux install!). Besides, we should not forget Arun Sharma,
Thaths and the other Linux-India founders for starting the whole ILUG
concept. It was on the Linux-India mailing list
<linux-india@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> where K. Arun and I became
acquainted.
Asokan and Roshan also have provided invaluable support. It is truly
remarkable that ILUGC has been succesful in being a non-commercial and
informal group!
There are so many others to thank for ILUGC's success (in no
particular order), Cheeni for LDD2 etc., Suraj for wonderful minutes
and the webmastering, Lateral for hosting and support during the PCQ
show, Asokan and co. for the site and support at various times
(LDD1/LDD2 etc.), IITM for being such great hosts, Prof. Sriram for
guidance, help, support, etc., Ravi for so much entertainment, ;).
Thanks also go to the many speakers, contributors and members on the
mailing list. I'm sorry if I've left out anyone. There are just so
many people to thank who have made ILUGC a success. Thanks to you
all.
BTW this looks like some kind of farewall speech. As I said in an
earlier mail I'm not leaving ILUGC yet, I'm just going to become a
non-official ILUGC member. :)
