At this instant, it didn't strike you to send a query
to ilugc?
So i was forced to reinstall Ubuntu,
Its called "running away from the problem". You would
have learnt something if you did do some
troubleshooting at this instant :)
Next time when you get stuck with Internet
configuration, note the output of the following
commands:
/sbin/lsmod
/sbin/ifconfig -a
/sbin/route -n
cat /etc/resolv.conf
Note, you can redirect output to a file:
/sbin/lsmod > lsmod.txt
like it but that i want
to be more geekish.
Sure.
When you go through a learning curve, you will hit
road bumps. Its natural. But, only when you persevere
you will see light at the end of the tunnel.
Any help would be appreciated
Also i could do quite a lot if somebody could help
me with xorgconfig
You can use "xorgcfg" which will open a graphical
display for configuring your X settings.
Regards,
SK
