Hi,
I would suggest that you evaluate and port some of the existing router
specific linux distro e.g. zeroshell which I am evaluating.
I am much impressed with zeroshell interface and features. But still I want to
choose
the applications and build myself.
There are two advantages for integrating the applications.
1) we have plenty of choices in the applications
2) we can have full control of the applications and gaining the knowledge of it.
Obviously, the execution time will be more.
Also I spent some time to make the build setup for my target. In this context
adding
the application will be easy for me instead of changing altogether.
I have not seen much mention of zebra the last few years. Most ditros
seem to prefer "quagga" Any particular reason for selecting zebra as the
routing software for your project?
No specific reason. Just googled and got it. GNU tag gave some confident.
Now I guess I should evaluate quagga only.
BTW, what is the board and how many NICs does it come with?
Its Kwik KB9202C Board. Comes with 1 NIC card only. For the test purpose
We can make the loopback interfaces.
