From what I read from wikipedia its pretty  techy .

Firstly I am not representing FabLab.

You can't generalise somthing like "4 Year Old", every kid has its own
unique quality.
If it is encouraged or in other words if he/she is  let to do what they
are  interested they can do wonders.

From what i see FabLab is a open platform with machines and devices and
resources which cannot be afforded by common parents.
If you want to know more about it , Just google yourself.
