Greetings!
We have been called to do a one-day FSF/GNU/Linux
workshop at Crescent Engineering College, Chennai. We
have received the approval for the same. The audience
are EEE, CS, microelectronics department students.
Transportation will be provided by the College for the
presenters.
The date is now confirmed, Saturday, March 12, 2005.
The time period for the workshop is 9 AM till 4 PM.
My suggestions are:
1/ Introduction to FSF/GNU/Linux (30 minutes)
2/ Careers with GNU/Linux/OSS (1 hour)
3/ GNU/Linux Software packages for Engineers (1 hour)
4/ Alliance VLSI CAD tools demo (1 hour) - (if
possible)
5/ Movie: The.Code.Linux.avi (MUST) (1 hour)
6/ Installation demo (1 hour) (if possible)
We can have the discussions related to this workshop
after the GLV session (this Saturday, February 26,
2005 at the Ma Foi Academy). I request the interested
volunteers to be there for the discussion.
