Hi,
I have been trying to use a linux OS in my mid 2009 Mac book pro as a
single OS for quite some time.
Legacy MacOS [El Capitan] is slow, and does not support recent softwares
such as browsers, IDEs, etc.
One key problem with linux in Mac is the graphics driver.
Nouveau driver is good but has heating issues.
Nvidia does not have the heating problem but one cannot be guaranteed
that it will always work fine.
Linux OS: Debian 10/ Antix 19.1.
To anybody who is playing well with their old macbook and linux, some
support would be helpful.
PS. I am posting this after trying plenty of tutorials online. Anyhow, a
workable tutorial is always welcome.

Decades of struggle finally coming to an end. Newcomers with nvidia
cards no need to get scared looking at an unpleasant desktop with
600x400 resolution
Thanks,
