On Sunday, I attended, Mr Nagappan's talk on "Contributing to FOSS"
in MIT. Here is the tiny MoM:
Around 3:30PM, Mr Nagappan started his talk. Nearly 10 people attended
this event and in that only 3 are new to FOSS. He talked about Bug
Reporting, Diff, Submit etc ...
Then Topic is changed to LDTP (Linux Desktop Testing Project). This
project is used to test applications written using the accessibility
layer library. Presently Gnome applications can be test with this.
Soon KDE also coming with accessibility layer support. Then KDE
application also can be tested using this. Presently he is working to
add the support for record and replay of events.

Then topic is changed to Google Summer of Code. Two students from Anna
Univ are selected for this. Both are ILUGC Members!! (Prasanth Mohan
and Rajagopal). We asked them to share the GSOC Selection process
experience. I hope, the prize money is around $5k.
Prasenth Mohan's LDTP Proposal got selected (NOTE: He is already
contributing to this proj). Rajagopal is selected for Biometric algo
based support in Bash. Good work guys. Kept it up :)
