One often tends to misspell sourceforge as sourceforget. ;)
Anyway if any of you can start some open source project which become successful
over a period of time it is a matter of pride, fame and in some rare
cases also
money.
In my case LiveUSB project was featured in linuxtoday and it has been
up for around 3 years.
It brings some 3 inquiries in a month or so, but none commercial.
Recently I got some cash but that is not a regular thing.
Overall sourceforge is a good way/place to showcase your
project/creation and you can
use that to create more links and traffic to your website.
And in addition you can get some interest in your work.
Sourceforge also is a great place to host your project. Nice tools and
good hosting.
You get a domain for free, easy to use tools for publishing projects.
