Possible to do? Yes but do we want to do it? Maybe not. There are
pro's and cons to both approaches.

The other issue is do we allow non-subscriber posts? The plus is that
this makes life easier for the admin, makes it easy for folks to post
(no need for separate vacation accounts etc.). The minus is that it
allows for spam (somewhat -- implicit destination emails still require
approval and so do administrivia requests). Non-subscribers can post
random messages too.
BTW If you look at the archives (posts after the meet info update one)
the obscure email option (as suggested by Samuel) is working. It
seems to work pretty okay and the default approach is to replace @
with ' at '. If you have objections to this approach and definitely
want to remove all trace of the hostname please raise objections now.
I will wait till tommorow before I run the perl script.
