Yes, Linux is a big hit i agree but what i found from my experience is that
only a few people come forward to adopt to linux paricularly , from the
desktop users
if linux is a big hit then there should be more desktop users for linux
but it is not .
Even i came to know about Linux by my friend, this is how people came to
know about linux but not by them selves.
Then we can say that linux is a big hit in the corporate and not in the
desktop users. This is what the article also says.
Yet people should come forward to try linux some distros like Ubuntu ,
Mandriva (forgive me if i left some distros ) are really great and
provide all apps for day to day usage. The other issue that people are
concerned with is that lack of support and veryhard to configure so what
i thik is that we can accelerate this so that we can bring up more users
show case the different distros rather than having heavy arguments on
the packaging system .
