Firstly, thanks to Prashanth, Shakthi and this group in general...my sound
problem is solved! Thanks again!!
However, I've discovered a another problem. I'm loving it ;)
Kubuntu halts half way through shutting down. It just stops, sometimes
making a flamboyant display on the screen (with a blinking cursor) or says
"Will halt now", which it never does or a blank screen (I think I saw a
cursor).
The same is the case with init 0.
Also there was this delay before it shutdown, I could still click, open
terminal and type something etc. for a few seconds.
Restarting is not a problem.
My specs:
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
Asus A8V UAYKZ mobo, 512 MB RAM, 80 GB SATA HDD.
