I am using a box with Win98/ RH9 / MDK10.0 (CE) powered by Celeron 900 MHz
, 128 MB RAM, 40 GB HDD.
I was using KPPP to connect to VSNL / ETH to connect to net right from RH
6.1 onwards. Suddenly for the past 10 days KPPP will not establish
successful internet connection.
It will terminate with pppd error code 16 or 19 during various trials. Fed
up with it I started configuring wvdial to connect to net. It was
establishing successful net connection and I was browsing net and sending
emails.
But now that also has stopped. I am giving below the output.

usually after this when i run fetchmail it will retrieve my emails , but not
this time , the output below:

Thinking that all ends are closed, I uninstalled kdenetwork by
rpm -e command, re installed it with rpm -ivh command.
Again I tried connecting through KPPP, it will go upto handshake
but then it will hang and time out will occurr and pppd will die, output

What else is to be done? my modem is connected to COM2
port.(GVC 33.6 Kbps).
I do have a Reliance FWP and its data cable is connected to
COM1 port and it functions well in Win / RH9 also.
The same KPPP works well in MDK10.0
Can anybody point out what mistake I am committing ?
