Hi Viji,
Can some one give inputs on what might have went wrong?
There may be several factors responsible for this problem. Linux is
typically a very stable operating systems and I have personally
experienced uptimes of nearly a year. Others report fews years at a
stretch. Usually these problems tend to be power/hardware related. A
blackout or a brownout can cause the machine to hang without leaving a
trace in the logs that might help. The problem may also be RAM
related. If the problem persists, please run memtest86 and make sure
your RAM is ok. Check your power connections for loose contacts. But
it can as well be an isoloted, rare, random event. You need to wait
and see if it shows up again.
