You mean sharing terminal? or entire desktop? for later, we have jitsi.
I think tmux/screen does have sharing mechanism. But, the presenter and
participants has to be in the same subnet (or somehow the participants
should have a way to reach presenter's IP address)
If possible they also should try the same commands on same server
tmux/screen sharing mechanism works like this. users of the sharing
session can work on same machine where the sharing happening.

irc+terminal-sharing is great idea. AFAIK, terminal-sharing can be done
through tmux/screen but we need a subnet to connect. may be having a
server with wireguard and asking participants join the VPN (only for
that particular session duration, we can disable the VPN after session
over)
