If you include a signature keep it short. Rule of thumb is no longer
than 4 lines. Remember that many people pay for connectivity by the
minute, and the longer your message is, the more they pay.

I didnt make the decision on having a long signature. Neither should I send a
mail without my signature from my company ID. The signatures are not by
choice.
Why, I personally, dont prefer writing from my company mail ID:
Most mailing lists archive mails. Not all archives do even the
minimal amount of spam protection. (and even the minimal protection
that is offered is broken by some smart harvesters). So in turn, you
end up getting a lot of spam (which means your company is going to pay
more for your personal entertainment on mailing lists).
Thats OK. I have been having my personal yahoo ID for 4 years and dont want
it to be spammed. Also I dont want to have a second yahoo account for
mailing lists. I dont have yahoo/hotmail accessibility at office. So I dont
want to sit hours in the browsing center removing spam from my mailing list
mails. I will better use my company ID and dont mind getting a hundred
spams / day. ;-)
