Hello,
Now i have a problem. Being a VB developer, How do i
go about developing windows application in Linux?
If you are a VB user, then kylix would be the easiest way to switch,
providing you know some pascal (and that's not so difficult either)
Look at :
http://www.borland.com/kylix/ If you do not require to access any ;
db then go for the 'free' version.
I haven't worked in Linux/Unix environment before.
This medical imaging project involves socket
programming & imaging fundas.
If you are familiar with sockets under other OSes then it should be
straightforward to go to *nix. Medical imaging usually requires 10-bit, or
12-bit imaging along with DICOM standards compatibility. Proceed with
caution. afaik, film.gimp.org should give you a good start for 12bit images,
but I am more or less certain that its not DICOM compatible... good luck.
Any good front-end available for Linux?
I personally use FLTK (you need to know C/C++) check out
http://www.fltk.org
ymmv.
best regards
BGa
