So I hope It has drivers for it.
Post output of:
/sbin/lsmod
/sbin/lspci
It asks the Device as "/dev/modem,/dev/ttyS0" and a
lot.
How to query the modem for its device nemae?
Check in /bin/dmesg for any entry for your modem.
/dev/modem is not there.
Usually /dev/modem is a symbolic link file to
/dev/ttyS0 or /dev/ttyS1 etc. You can create it if it
is not there, and point to the respective ttySX file
using ln command.
