hmmm... this is what confuses me. Is this the same reason why the
Linux kernel simply issues a warning while loading a non-GPL module?
The kernel still calls the functions in the module isn't it? In this
case its a reverse of the kernel situation. The module is GPLed but
the one that "uses" it is not. so I dont know how well the
"independant" clause fits here...
Maybe the original poster can ask fsf-friends[1]
