Yeah! Yeah! Let's go for it. I have GNU/Hurd installed
(with 5 GB partition) on my IBM T41. I shall
re-install it on my laptop for a demo, this Saturday,
february 12, 2005 (but, we definitely need to get a
system for installs) .
Toufeeq, can we schedule your topic for next week
(february 19, 2005)? Since, GNU/Hurd is fresh in
everyone's mind, it is important for us to keep the
momentum going.
This Saturday, it will be "Installation of GNU/Hurd".
I shall send the poster tomorrow.
Installation is a cake walk :)
0/ Boot from k8 mini-iso CD
1/ Select keyboard layout
2/ Activate swap
3/ Make /gnu hurd partition
4/ Install GNU/Hurd .deb packages
5/ Add boot options for GNU/Hurd to grub
6/ Reboot
7/ Run native-installer
8/ Reboot
9/ Run native-installer
