yes FossConf 2008 does bring me memories of Kenneth who has been
instrumental in bringing up this event for not just chennai but also
people all over India
Unfortunately as most FOSS events in India ( with exception of
Gnunify) this could run only for 2 years (2008 and 2009) . Ilugc did
get to organise some colective events like SFD but nothing on the
scale of FossConf later .
It would be a nice time to revive Ilugc's own event FossConf and my
suggestion would be to plan in advance, post regular updates of the
event in as many mailing lists as possible all over the country and
offer a regional(tamil) track where talks / discussions should be in
common language and have simple to understand topics .
Personally this would be my chance to visit chennai & FOSS community
around there , I put forward my name to volunteer for the event as
much as possible :)
